I pinned a similar post on the top of my twitter page; but given the times we live in I wanted to push this out again as a blog because many people don’t read the pins.
If you have ever seen the movie War Room with Priscilla Shirer you will remember her walking around her house anointing it after her life had been turned upside down. Well, as a first-hand witness to doing this multiple times myself, I will tell you that it really works - no joke!
A few precautions however, before you proceed:

If you are not saved and are not a Christian, I would caution you on doing this - in fact I would tell you NOT to do this. You need to back up and accept Jesus before going to this step. I say this because when you are saved, you are under the blood and protection of Jesus - ie you are armored up. Without Him - you alone are not equipped to do this.

Prior to doing this, you need to ask for forgiveness of your sins and you need to pray for protection - I would suggest Psalm 5:1-12 and Ephesians 6:10-20
Prayer for Protection from the Wicked.
Psalm 5:1
Give ear to my words, O Lord,
Consider my groaning.
Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God,
For to You I pray.
In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice;
In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.
For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness;
No evil dwells with You.
The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes;
You hate all who do iniquity.
You destroy those who speak falsehood;
The Lord abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
But as for me, by Your abundant loving kindness I will enter Your house,
At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You.
O Lord, lead me in Your righteousness because of my foes;
Make Your way straight before me.
There is nothing reliable in what they say;
Their inward part is destruction itself.
Their throat is an open grave;
They flatter with their tongue.
Hold them guilty, O God;
By their own devices let them fall!
In the multitude of their transgressions thrust them out,
For they are rebellious against You.
But let all who take refuge in You be glad,
Let them ever sing for joy;
And may You shelter them,
That those who love Your name may exult in You.
For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O Lord,
You surround him with favor as with a shield.

The Whole Armor of God
Ephesian 6:10-20
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. Amen.
3. You need anoint yourself with holy anointing oil and I would even go as so far to anoint your pets if they are in the room with you. If other people are with you - they also need to be in on step one above.
4. When you cleanse a room, you need to open up every single cabinet, door, drawer, box, etc. Leave nothing closed that even the smallest of “things” could hide in. You need to make sure - and this is VERY IMPORTANT - there is a door to the outside OPEN! Otherwise you are just stirring everything up with no exit - and that is no bueno.
5. You need to have holy anointing oil - this is very important as well! As it “seals” the deal so to speak.
Okay - you are now ready to proceed:
Once you have everything opened up, you need to open the “exit” door and speak this prayer. Upon completing the prayer, you need to put anointing oil (just a dab on your finger) on the top every window and doorway frame in that room. You put it left, right and top - just like the blood put on the door posts in Exodus - aka the sign of the cross. Do not wipe it off - it will be there for months if not longer - and you really can’t see it unless you are looking for it.
Room by Room Prayer
Lord, you said in your Word that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). I declare that this room is spiritually transitioned into your secret place and now abides under your shadow. I repent on behalf of every sin committed in this house, including but not limited to fornication, idolatry, adultery, homosexuality, theft, coveting, drunkenness, revelry, and extortion (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
I declare that this property is now being transitioned under the jurisdiction of the kingdom of God and will henceforth receive the blessings thereof. No evil shall befall me, neither shall any plague come near this dwelling (Psalm 91:10). I plead the blood of Jesus over this home and every person who presently resides in it because we overcame the devil by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). I now speak to every spirit that has taken up habitation in this dwelling place and I take authority over you according to my authority in Jesus Christ. I cast you out, and command you to go to where the Lord Jesus sends you.
Once you have done this - find a center point within your house and pray this:
Speak this Over the Entire Home
To every evil spirit that has held influence over this home, I serve you an eviction notice and I divorce you from this property now in the mighty name of Jesus. If there are any hidden objects providing rights anywhere in this house or on this property, I declare that they are immediately exposed, that they are absolved of their demonic power, and that all rights are cancelled, in the name of Jesus.
I speak over my home and declare that it is a habitation of righteousness and a dwelling place for the presence of God (Exodus 15:2). I close off former satanic access points and I decree that every portal and window of access to the demonic realm is now being shut and sealed in the name of Jesus. I declare that the Lord will now be a wall of fire round about this home (Zechariah 2:5).
Thank you, Lord, that this home is now being surrounded by angels above and below and against every dimensional access point, in the name of Jesus. I thank you for delivering my house and property from the curse, for it is written that Jesus became a curse for us (Galatians 3:13), and I thank you for filling this home with your glorious presence. Amen.
Congratulations! You have now just cleansed and anointed your home.
